Clemson had a "crisp"
workout during Monday morning's 90-minute practice at Jacksonville University.
"We worked a lot on the pace of the game on offense,"
Swinney said. "We want to work on offense at a quick pace. On defense we worked a lot on assignments, which will be critical against a Nebraska team that is so balanced."
Swinney got an up-close and personal look at the Cornhuskers during Monday morning's Fellowship of Christian Athletes breakfast.
"They are really a big team,"
Swinney said. "They are big and physical on tape and they are the same way in person. They are coached to play a physical game and we are going to have to match that. "
Enemy camp
Nebraska head coach Bo Pelini was pleased with the Cornhuskers' effort during Monday's practice.
Pelini said the Cornhuskers were able to get in some situational work on both offense and defense as they focus in on the game plan.
"It was a good practice,"
Pelini said. "We were able to clean up some things that we noticed and that we needed to work on from the first couple days down here."
One area Nebraska focused on was the two-minute drill.
"We spent a little time working on it from both the offensive and defensive side,"
Pelini said. "That's something we had not done much of this week and it was a good spot to get it done."
Injury update
The Tigers were at full strength for practice on Monday.
Landon Walker had missed the first practice in Jacksonville with the flu and offensive guard Mason Cloy missed on Sunday.
Both were at practice on Monday.
Dorell Scott, who had a slight knee injury earlier in the week, didn't appear to have any lingering effect at Monday's workout.
Practice schedule
The Tigers will have their final workout today from 11:15 a.m. until 12:15 p.m. at Jacksonville University.
"It'll be like a normal Thursday practice for us,"
Swinney said.
